From the outside, the villa looks neat and compact, but once inside, a very spacious, high ceilinged living room is revealed, with windows opening on to the side and front garden overlooking the swimming pool. Sleeping a maximum of 10 people, with two twin bedded rooms on the ground floor, two double bedded rooms (one on ground and one on first floor) and space for two more in the children’s tv room, the house is great for two small families wanting to holiday together, having their own space and privacy on separate floors of the house yet communal areas for all the family to enjoy, such as swimming pool and lawned garden.
 
With TV, DVD and selection of films, the carefully designed open plan lay out of this villa’s ground floor makes it easy to keep an eye on the little ones in your party, as the dining area and kitchen follow on from the lounge.

Full sized electric oven, ceramic hob, extractor fan, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer are all in this well equipped kitchen. The washing machine is located in a separate laundry room just off the kitchen.

The ground floor twin bedroom is ideal for young children, with its own wardrobe and dressing table.

The ‘pink room’ is also a twin bedroom with pull out full sized mattress from underneath the main single bed, giving you more storage and room space during the day.

Both these twin bedrooms are close to the separate ground floor shower room and toilet.

The master double en-suite bedroom is also on the ground floor with wardrobe and dressing table.

Two steps lead you up to the full sized bath with shower and curtain over. Large vanity unit and wc complete this spacious en suite bathroom

Upstairs on the first floor level, there is a separate seating area with comfy cushions making this an ideal escape corner for quiet reading, however, it is next door to the children’s tv and play room. This tv room can also sleep up to 2 extra people if required as the sofa is full sized and a camp bed can be added for a child.

Leading directly from the tv room to views of the rural countryside surrounding the villa, is a large sunny balcony, also overlooking the swimming pool and garden.

Back inside the first floor level of Villa Martini, is another separate bathroom with full sized bath and shower, vanity unit and wc.

Villa Martini even boasts a small indoor gym for those of you interested in ‘working out’ and keeping fit whilst on holiday and enjoying the countryside views from this corner of the house.

Finally, the second douible bedroom is located to the rear of the house on the first floor, with wardrobe, dressing table and matching babies cot. This room is next door to the gym.

Ermones Beach

Beautifully situated on the west coast south of Paleokastritsa and about 10 miles (16km) from Corfu Town,
Ermones has a small beach of shingle, pebbles, sand and flat rocks for sunbathing on. A particularly large rock
in the bay is said to be a pirate chief turned to stone for trying to steal a sacred icon from the local church. The
nearby long golden sandy beach of Glyfada is approximately 10 minutes drive away!

According to legend, Ermones Bay is the place where Odysseus dragged himself ashore after his ship was wrecked, and fell asleep naked, to be awakened to the clatter of maidens, among them the Phaeacian princess Nausicaa. Certainly the bay and the beach where the little river Ermones leaves the land and plunges down its rocky course to the sea, perfectly fits the description by Homer.
The beach is organized and has a watersports and diving centre. You can rent a boat and discover the small private coves of the island’s western coast.
The beach is overlooked by the Ermones Beach Hotel, from which a funicular railway operates, and the scenery makes a walk to the nearby village of Vatos delightful, although car hire is strongly recommended.

Close by, at The Ropa Valley, is the Corfu Golf Club, acclaimed as one of the best courses in the Mediterranean, with a devious stream that meanders across to fewer than 16 of the 18 holes. Clubs can be hired quite cheaply.
