Villa
Ioanna, Barbati |
|
During
the day, all of the ingredients for a care-free beach holiday
are provided in abundance staying at Villa Ioanna, on the new
'Riviera Barbati Beachfront Residential Development'. Situated
in a terrace of four similar villas on the edge of the quiet
village, this superb property is separated from the long white
shingle beach, contrasting silver green olive trees and deep
blue sea only by the rarely frequented through road, which leads
to the other houses on this development. On the
beach there is a cooling breeze from the mountains behind, and
watersports, ranging from waterskiing, windsurfing and parascending,
to pedaloes, boats and dinghies for hire. The sheltered waters
of this bay make it suitable for children. |

Barbati
is perched at the foot of Mount Pantokrator, amidst green cypress
trees; it has breathtaking views across to Corfu Town on the right
and Albania on the left. The sheer, rocky backdrop secludes Barbati
from the rest of the island, giving it an isolated, hidden feel.
The village also offers a small selection of bars, tavernas, supermarkets,
launderette and souvenir shops, with a newly built church in the
centre of the village. However, the lovely shared beach front swimming
pool with plenty of space, sunloungers, umbrellas (for a small
daily cost), and the pool snack bar 'Nautilus Beach', it is hard
to imagine a more restful setting.

Inside,
the villa is attractively furnished and provides a good level of
comfort. Villa Ioanna comprises a spacious, air-conditioned living
room, open fireplace, satellite TV, CD player opening onto the
balcony: a well equipped, open plan kitchen: one double bedroom,
also with air-conditioning and a sea facing covered shared balcony
: one air conditioned twin bedroom and a modern shower room with
corner unit and washing machine. So,
with the beach on your doorstep and the nearest tavernas a mere
five minutes walk away, you are perfectly placed for a thoroughly
easy-going holiday. Barbati
took its name from the mansion of the noble Barbatis family and
its beach is a white stretch of shingle against an azure sea.
Wonderfully situated to provide whatever you are looking for
in a holiday: You can laze in the sun, explore the coast by boat,
take part in all kinds of water sports and enjoy the good restaurants. |
